The Mr. Manhole Safety Bar and Why it’s Important
The safety bar is a very important thing to use when you're using the speed plate. It will prevent the speed plate from being inadvertently dropped into the manhole. So it's very easy to use before you start inserting the speed plate. Simply clip the chain onto one of the handles. Doesn't matter. Either end will work. And then begin your adjusting. And once you've got it secured in place and you're ready to cut, you can remove it.
