The Platinum Casting lifter is useful for carrying a manhole frame when rebuilding a manhole. The unit allows up to four men to carry the heavy manhole frame and avoid back injuries. The unit's length allows the workers to stand on the road surface and avoid stepping down into the excavation when setting the heavy frame. The Platinum version includes the handle extensions that allow up to four men to lift the frames. The extra length provided by the extensions mean the men can avoid stepping into the possibly 72" excavation that the Platinum cutter is capable of cutting.
