What if the Magnet will not lift the manhole lid from the frame?

If the manhole lid is corroded in place or stuck you will have to rap it sharply with a sledge hammer to loosen it before the magnet will successfully lift the lid. If the manhole lid is dirty or covered with asphalt the magnet will nt lift the lid.
